City of Angels

Hello everyone! I thought that it was time to give blogging another chance after many inconsistent attempts in the past. My aspirations for this blog is to simply inspire others. Inspire them to be expressive, to travel, to explore, and simply be themselves. I also want to showcase my work as a Makeup Artist, share behind the scene images, beauty looks, and share my growth as I become a better artist. This is just the beginning stages and I hope that you will join me on this blogging journey and see how it matures and progresses, just as I will.

With that being said, I recently visited Los Angeles for the very first time to celebrate a milestone birthday. What better way to spend a birthday than traveling to the west coast for the first time, right?

I was accompanied by one of my very best friends, Karmin. Naturally, we did most of the cliche tourist activities to see what LA had to offer. First stop was In-N-Out Burger, and I must say it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! Which, I am now currently craving thanks to reminiscing about it. Over the next few days we visited The Walk of Fame, went to Fairfax Avenue for some shopping, LACMA, and went to both The Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach. Also saw some awesome street art while we were driving around.

During our brief stop at the Pier we rode the ferris wheel that overlooks the Pacific Ocean, which felt surreal. That was definitely the highlight of our trip. We then headed over to Venice Beach and caught up with some friends, observed the skaters, walked the boardwalk, and ended up in a huge drum circle right on the beach! It was great seeing so many different people come together and just have a great time. I can’t wait until my next visit.

  1. Hello beautiful!

I just want to say I am so happy that you’re blogging your life journey to success! It inspires me to want to explore more places as well as learn and experience new things. Like this year I’ve traveled more than I usually do and it’s been incredible! Cali was life changing lol. If it wasn’t so expensive I would love to live there! It just felt right being there, like I belonged. (Of course there are a lot of Asians in Cali too but no that’s not the reason lmao). I watch a lot of vloggers from Cali and its just inspiring watching them. So being there it felt like I was somebody for those few days lmao. By the way, the Santa Monica Pier was pretty cool! I don’t know if I was more excited by the sunset we watched – overlooking the water – or the fact that, “that pier” was on GTA5! LOL! I’m a loser I know lol. I was pretty geeked!
I’m guessing the ferris wheel at the pier was the one you rode? I would’ve loved to get on that but it was a bit chilly when we went.. so we didn’t stay there too long. But I enjoyed Santa Monica it was good times! So yeah Cali was great! Florida was okay to me lol. We did Disney World but I didn’t have the life changing (feeling) like I did when I was in Cali. lol. But it was fun experiencing things out there. I actually caught a lot of fish for the very first time lol. until I hooked myself in the finger.. ended my fishing career quick! lmao. So besides that FL was straight. Even drove to Mississippi for a casino (which I won $200 from lol). Anyways I’m getting carried away… it just felt like I did a blog post for real haha. See! you’re inspiring me to start writing again. But like for real this time.. at a more mature and professional manner. (although I will still have my intoxicating videos lol, I can’t give that up lol).

But what I’m really trying to say is… your blog is wonderful! I started from your latest post, all the way to your first post lol. I just couldn’t stop reading! Very well choice of words and everything said drew me to pay attention and I enjoyed it! the pictures are amazing! you look beautiful as always =) and shout out to the photographer!
I miss you Sandy! Our gchats back then are very missed lol. But I’m so happy for you! you seem like you’re enjoying NY! I want you to keep doing your thing! and continue sharing your beautiful stories! I’ll try to continue vlogging– just to have memories and to have videos for my family and friends to enjoy in the future. I don’t vlog as much as before but I try to show the different places I’ve been.. while of course documenting my food adventures or even birthday events for friends, cousins, the kids… I’m sure they’ll grow up to enjoy to see themselves as babies lol.

Side note: I like how you list where you got your outfits from (its fun to wonder what you’re going to be wearing in the next post lol).. and also labeling the make up used in your photos. I don’t know if I should be sharing this but I know a little about some make up terminology lmao. only because I watch Andrea’s Choice on YouTube LOL. I only watch her because she’s pretty! =) creep! lol.
I hope you know whenever I get married (no time soon of course lol) I am def. referring you to be the MUA =)

But I hope all is well and we should chat soon! when we’re both not too busy. I know your schedule is hectic but I hope we find some time to converse and catch up a bit of whats going on in our lives. I look forward to reading more blogs from you! you don’t have to reply on your page, you can send me an email or something lol..

    Love,

    Ron David

    • Ron David!!! Do you know what this just did for my life?! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You have no idea how much I appreciate this feedback and the simple fact that you actual take the time out of your day to read my blog.

This is showing me that my blog is doing exactly what I want it do to. Inspire individuals in one way or another. I would love for you to start another blog, including your vlogs in your posts. You were always SUCH a good writer and storyteller and I always enjoyed the content you had to offer. Oh, and don’t ever lose that funny side of you! We all need that Ron David humor you have to offer.

You know what? I think that Cali is probably the perfect place for you! I remmeber back in HS when I didn’t really know you, you had this laid back surfer swag to you LOL. Perhaps is what the hair, the vans you wore, and the khakis we were forced to wear.

The next time you are in NY let me know! Also, you know my mom tells me all about the Facebook happenings and how she keeps up with you =)

      Much love to you Ron!
